Hello, I’m Fernando Rodriguez — a portrait and dance photographer based in Chicago, inspired by movement, expression, and human connection. As both a professional dancer and choreographer, I bring a deep understanding of body language, emotion, and presence into every session, helping clients feel comfortable, confident, and fully themselves in front of the camera.

I truly love what I do: creating elevated, expressive imagery while making people feel seen, celebrated, and empowered throughout the experience. My approach to portraiture is rooted in the belief that photographs are more than just images — they are a way to tell our stories, preserve meaningful moments, and remember who we are in different seasons of life.

Everyone deserves a safe space to discover and express themselves, and that’s exactly what I strive to create in the studio. A few weeks before your session, we’ll connect through a personalized consultation to get to know each other, discuss your vision, and thoughtfully design an experience tailored specifically to you. During the session itself, I’ll guide you through posing, movement, and expression in a way that feels natural, collaborative, and relaxed.

My motto has always been: “Smile, dance, and have a good time.” I believe joy, connection, and authenticity are often the secret ingredients behind the most powerful photographs. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone, updating your personal brand, or simply wanting to reconnect with yourself, my goal is for you to leave your session feeling beautiful, empowered, and truly seen.

And outside the studio, I’m also a proud dog lover with a furry companion who bring so much joy into my life — so if you’re a fellow dog person, your pets are always welcome to be part of the experience too.
